Burnley have signed striker Armando Broja from Chelsea for a fee reported to be in the region of £20million.
Broja spent last season on loan at Everton but injuries restricted him to just 11 first-team appearances.
The 23-year-old has struggled to maintain his fitness throughout his career, making 58 appearances in the last three seasons, including a loan spell at Fulham in 2023-24.
Burnley hand Broja a five-year deal
Despite that, Burnley have handed him a five-year contract as they look to strengthen their squad following promotion last season.
The Albania international said: “I am really excited to be here as a Burnley player.
“It’s a really positive time to be joining this club ahead of the start of the new Premier League season. I can’t wait to get going!”
He added: “I’m feeling good, I’m ready and I’m excited about the challenge of playing for this club.
“I can already feel the support from the Burnley fans – I can tell you all that I will be giving my all every time I pull on the famous claret shirt.”
Broja is Burnley’s ninth signing of a hectic summer and he will link up with the squad ahead of this weekend’s friendly against Lazio at Turf Moor.
