A mural dedicated to Barcelona star Lamine Yamal in the Gracia district of the city has been defaced.
The work created by graffiti artist TV Boy depicting the winger as Superman was only unveiled on Sunday to celebrate Yamal’s 18th birthday.
It also contains the slogan ‘when the will is strong, obstacles are small’.
But it lasted just three days before being covered in paint, making Yamal indistinguishable.

The identity of the vandal, or vandals, is not known, neither is the motive, although it is not uncommon for such acts to take place with murals for Nico Williams and Alexia Putellas also suffering the same fate.
Another blow for under-fire Yamal
Yamal has had a difficult few days after being widely criticised for his use of dwarves as entertainers at his birthday party at the weekend.
Government minister Jesus Martin has demanded an investigation while the Association of People with Achondroplasia and Other Skeletal Dysplasias (ADEE) condemned the incident as “unacceptable”.
One of the entertainers with dwarfism backed Yamal, telling RAC1: “No-one disrespected us, leave us to work in peace.
“I don’t understand why there is so much hype. We are normal people who dedicate ourselves to what we want in an absolutely legal way.”
The incident occurred just weeks after Yamal was pictured holidaying with an OnlyFans star 12 years his senior.
In better news for the Spain international, he is due to attend the Barcelona offices this afternoon with his family to celebrate the signing of his new contract that ties him to the Liga champions until 2031.
