Manchester United have been linked with a move for Galatasaray midfielder Gabriel Sara.
Reports in Turkey suggest United will “make an offer in the coming days” in a bid to beat off competition from Manchester City, Leeds, Wolves, Everton, Nottingham Forest and Aston Villa.
Sara has only spent one season in Istanbul after moving to the Super Lig from Norwich in August 2024 for a fee reported to be in the region of £20million.
Sara has impressed at Norwich and Gala
The 26-year-old made 96 appearances for Norwich, scoring 21 goals, after joining from Sao Paulo in 2022.
He has thrived at Galatasaray and was a key part of the club winning the league and cup double for the first time since 2019.
Sara made 45 appearances across all competitions, scoring twice. Takvim report Gala don’t want to lose him but would consider offers around £35million.
What would Sara bring to Manchester United?
He would add an element of dynamism to a United midfield that has struggled physically in recent seasons.
It would also enable Bruno Fernandes to operate permanently in one of the two number 10 positions behind a striker, which is looking increasingly like being Benjamin Sesko.
Widespread reports this morning suggested the Slovenia striker has opted for Old Trafford over Newcastle and it is thought the deal will now move swiftly towards completion.
United have made just two major signings this summer, bringing in Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha from Brentford and Wolves, respectively.
